Art Posters a Cities are beautiful, that is a fact. At least for me. Complicated systems created as a mix of topography, human behavior and chance. Most of us can see a city from a street view. Rarely we have a chance to see it from a high floor. Even if we do, it is just a part of the city that is visible at the moment. Of course to see the whole city its best to perceive it from the sky or at least a plane. Anyway, we can create a map of places that we see. The custom map we create depends of our way we see the city. It can be direct drawing or just an imagination of the area. Seeing a perfect map design and imagine a place in it, is different for different people. From a plan you can imagine how it looks from the street view. But this would be only a possibility. Art Prints Art prints with maps is something that I love the most. This is incredible for me to find out the shapes of the city in every day life. I walk through the vast number of streets here in Tokyo and I am amazed what I can discover. Every time I see a metro plan or a local area map I sea it as a part of something bigger. I know the bigger part. I have studied it for hours preparing my designs to create street map. But these pieces inspire me to look on it from different angle. Small area can be as much as interesting as a huge one. I try to remember the parts of the whole that I have seen and I have discovered for myself to better map my city. The next time I see my decorative maps of that city in my mind I highlighted parts of the map that I already know. I feel about the city as a puzzle. City Map Art City Map Art – I am happy to inform you about my new city map art project that I finished. The idea for drawing New York urban plan in big scale on 100x70cm paper came to me long time ago. I wanted to do it big with high detailed city maps. Plain sheet of paper, Japanese ink and more than 15 hours of work was needed to finish this project. By drawing NYC city map building by building I learned some more cool stuff about the city space. I also found places that I didn’t know how they look in urban scale. City Map Posters – United Kingdom I was updating the city map posters list of new cities from United Kingdom. As you know, London was already made as one of the first cities in my project. City Map Art – Drawing My recent work is city map art. It took me some time to decide which will be my next drawing. I couldn’t resist to make custom map of the New York’s schwarzplan. New York city has a very dense and structural urban plan. The urban plans looks completely different that standard plans of the cities. It reveals the space between structures in a black and white map. Streets, parks, water and all other open spaces that are normally not seen, here, creates emptiness between buildings. All together creates a New York neighborhood map poster.

Tokyo City Movie Japan is a great place and I wanted to show different people in it, so I have made the Tokyo city movie. During this sunny winter day in Shibuya, I asked some people, mostly foreigners, to tell us where they are from.
